Healing the blind was at best a rare event in the days of Bartimaeus (Mark 10:46-52). People of their time might say it was “impossible.” Perhaps it is why the people told him to be quiet and stop calling out to Jesus when He entered Jericho. But as Jesus entered town, nothing could quiet his faith. Bartimaeus knew his healing seemed to be “impossible.” He could not heal himself. However,
What was impossible with Bartimaeus became possible with “Bartimaeus + Jesus.”
Just as a book is never possible without its author, Bible faith is only possible with Jesus; “the author and finisher of our faith.” (Hebrews 12:2) Believing is possible for everyone, and everything is possible with God.
