My wife and I were recently talking about some challenges our family is facing as our three children continue to grow. During the conversation she said “LET’S SEE WHAT GOD CAN DO.”…
…a pause…
…and then a realization; a revelation as we soon realized we are standing on the planet God created, in one of a billion universes He spoke into being with a single word, without Whom every breath and each heartbeat would not take place nor would any cell in our bodies or in creation adhere to one another… It is THAT GOD of which the angel told Mary “For with God nothing will be impossible.”(Luke 1:37)
Jesus “said, ‘Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.'” (Mark 14:36) There are many things we cannot do which ONLY GOD HIMSELF can make possible. “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.” (Mark 10:27) …”The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” (Luke 18:27)
Even greater than the creation of the cosmos is the miracle of our salvation! It is because Jesus is UNSTOPPABLE that salvation is made possible! Jesus is the God of possibilities. The hope of all our futures rise and fall upon His resurrection. This Jesus “whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.” (Acts 2:24) The God of hope has made all things possible.
No longer must we be bound to what we can see. No longer are we limited to our own resources and the environment into which we are born. Through Christ, all limitations are removed. The past is forgiven. The future secure.
Apart from Him, unbelief creeps into our minds life a thief through the window, looking for his opportunity. Don’t let your hope be stolen! “Only believe!” (Luke 8:50) He is the God who holds all possibilities; many of which you have never (and can never) imagine.
Rather than looking to yourself, leaning on self-improvement, self-help, or playing religious games, place your life into the capable hands of the One (Jesus) who said “without Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) Let Him turn your “nothing” into a “something.”
Yea. Let’s see what GOD CAN DO!
