Healing Week: “Reconciled to Himself”

WARNING: This is a deeper lesson for those who choose to think more deeply. 😉

When someone chooses to “reconcile” something, it means that all things are resolved and settled according to a high standard. All wrongs and misplaced things removed. What was an outstanding issue is no longer an issue. ALL matters are resolved. The work of Jesus on the cross was certainly enough to settle the accounts of all human sin and suffering. It has reunited God with man. And God was glad to do it! “For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile ALL THINGS to Himself, by Him, …having made peace through the blood of His cross.” (Colossians 1:19-20) Note that God’s intention was not to reconcile “some things” but “all things.” Physical healing is one of those “things.” Every believer in Christ will one day be in heaven because “…God, ..has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, …” (2 Corinthians 5:18) The cross is not a future event. It is an event already accomplished. Healing does not only happen once we get to heaven. It is available today! “ALL things are reconciled TO HIMSELF.” (Colossians 1:20) God himself does not have sickness and being reunited to God through the cross, we can trust for healing.

Healing is secured because we are secured in Christ at the cross. We have been reconciled to Jesus by Jesus Himself! Believe it!
